Isaac Rodriguez joined the Minnesota State football coaching staff as a student assistant in the spring of 2016. He works primarily with the running backs and also helps out in additional areas on the offense.
Prior to joining the Maverick coaching staff, Rodriguez played one season with Minnesota State where he rushed for more than 200 yards. Prior to joining MSU for the 2016 season, Rodriguez played three seasons at South Dakota State. During his four college seasons, Rodriguez tallied more than 300 rushing yards and two touchdown carries. He was a member of the SDSU's first FCS playoff victory in team history over Eastern Illinois.
In the spring of 2016, Rodriguez graduated from South Dakota State with a Bachelor's degree in sports management and is currently pursuing his Master's degree in sport management at Minnesota State and is on track to graduate in the spring of 2018.
