Biography

2021: Played and started in all 11 games on the offensive line for the Mavericks…Helped the team rush for 2,264 yards and 28 touchdowns.

2020: No season due to COVID-19.

2019: Played and started in all 15 games for the Mavericks on the offensive line…As a member of the offensive line, he helped the Mavericks set MSU single season records in points scored (712), rushing yards (4,246), rushing touchdowns (59) and total offense (7,766)….As a unit, the Maverick offensive line allowed just 19 sacks in 15 games…Named to the All-NSIC Second Team.

2018: Played and started in all 14 games for the Mavericks on the offensive line…As a member of the offensive line, Dowdle helped the Mavericks rush for 3,345 yards and 37 touchdowns this past season, both of which are the fifth most in a season in team history…As a unit, the Maverick offensive line allowed just 12 sacks in 14 games.

2017: Played on 12 games for the Mavericks on the offensive line….As a member of the offensive line, he helped the Mavericks set an MSU single-season record of 4,036 rushing yards.

2016: Redshirted.

High School: A two-sport athlete out of Cottage Grove, Minn., Dowdle played three seasons of football and two seasons of basketball at East Ridge High School… Was a starter for the football team during his junior and senior seasons on the offensive line...Led his team to a 12-2 record during his senior season including district and section championships…Received all-district and All-State honors as a senior.

Personal: Carter is the son of Craig and Emily Dowdle…Born November 28. 1997…Intends to major in elementary education.
