2019: Played and started in all 15 games for the Mavericks…Finished fifth on the team in tackles with 57…Led the team with 21.0 tackles for a loss and 11.5 sacks…Forced and recovered a fumble against Northern State…Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team and the All-NSIC Second Team…his 21.0 tackles for a loss are tied for the second-most in a season in team history and his 116 tackle for a loss yards are the most in a season in MSU history…his 11.5 sacks are tied for the sixth most in a season in team history…Recorded at least five tackles in five games, including a season-high eight tackles against CSU-Pueblo in the second round of the NCAA Tournament…Notched 4.0 sacks against Minnesota Crookston.

2018: Played in seven games, while starting in three…Tallied six tackles and defended a pass….Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team.

2017: Redshirted.

2016: Played in all 11 games with the University of Mary during his freshman season before transferring to Minnesota State...Tallied 25 tackles, including one for a loss...Recovered fumbles in back-to-back games against MSU Moorhead and Northern State...Posted a season-high four tackles against Augustana. 

High School: Thomas was a two-time All-State defensive lineman with the Bismarck High School football team...Helped his team reach the state semifinals during his junior and senior seasons.

Personal: Brayden is the son of Wes and Melissa Thomas...Is majoring in management at Minnesota State.
