Biography

2014: Andries started 48 of the 56 contests he played in for MSU...Batted .257 with three home runs, seven doubles, 25 runs and 30 RBI...Swiped three bases...Had a season-high four RBI with a pair of hits vs. Saint Joseph’s on Mar. 12...At the NCAA DII Baseball Championships, he recorded a total of four hits in wins over St. Thomas Aquinas and Seton Hill on May 29-30.

2013: Started 29 of the 35 games he played in for MSU...Batted .222 in 99 at-bats with 26 RBI and 14 runs, while registering a .364 slugging percentage off nine doubles, a triple and a homerun...Went two-of-three with a season-high six RBI and two runs on March 25 against Minnesota, Crookston.

2012: Saw action in 19 games in first year with the Mavericks...Hit. .179 with two doubles and four runs batted in...Had two hits and drove in two runs in 11-9 win over Ashland March 3.

Pre MSU:  Spent two years at Johnson Community College in Overland Park, Kan… Sophomore season hit .370 with 68 hits, one home run, 41 RBI, 15 doubles, four triples and 47 runs scored…Redshirted freshman year at JCC.

High School:  Two-year letter winner for the Xavier Saints…Two-time team captain…Senior year second team all-state…Rawlings Midwest Region All-America honorable mention…2009 Iowa H.S. All-Star participant…First team all-district, first team all-metro and first team all-conference while hitting .394 with 42 hits, six home runs, 40 RBI, 17 doubles and one triple…Junior year was first team all-district and second team all-conference and second team all-metro while hitting .350 with 36 hits, eight home runs, 48 RBI, 15 doubles and two triples…Also three-year letter winner in soccer and wrestling and two-year letter winner in football.

Personal:  Born March 5, 1991…Son of Mark and Denise Andries…Enjoys fishing and is the lead singer of a country band, “The Tippers”, from Overland Park, Kan….Proposed business major.
