Biography

2012:  Hit .300 as a senior with 3 homers and 35 RBI...Hit .467 (7-for-15) in MSU's four games and was named NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament Most Valuable Player...Went 3X5 with a run scored and a RBI in 6-2 win over New Mexico HIghlands May 19...2012 NSIC Gold Glove Team...Rawlings/ABCA 2nd Team Central Region Gold Glove Team...Finished career ranking highly in several MSU all-time categories including games played (8th, 182), at bats (13th, 503) and doubles (t-11th, 32).

2011:  Played in 42 games, starting 25 of them...Finished 2011 batting at a .247 clip with 21 hits, six RBI, 13 runs scored, one home run and nine walks...Homered March 6 against Grand Valley.

2010: Voted team Most Improved Player by teammates… Named to Rawlings/ABCA Central Region Gold Glove First Team… Started 43 games and appeared in 52… Tied for third on team with .360 average… Had 31 RBI an  recorded a .435 slugging percentage… Owned a .992 fielding percentage.  

2009: Appeared in 28 games and started in 14...Hit .213 with four doubles and eight RBI...Worked five walks and scored five runs.

2008: Redshirted.

High School: Three-year letterwinner for Glencoe-Silver Lake High School…Also lettered in football and basketball for the Panthers…Named team captain and Defensive Player of the Year his senior year...All-conference honorable mention senior year…named to All-Section Team.

Personal: Born December 10, 1988…Son of Gregory and RaNaye Odegaard…Younger brother of RHP Chris Odegaard, who played for the Mavericks from 2007-09…Father, Greg, was a pitcher for the Mavericks and a member of MSU 1980 team that finished third at the NCAA Division II national tournament...Sport Management major.
