THE STADE FILE: A 6-4, 185-pound southpaw from New Ulm, Minn., came to the Maverick baseball team after competing for four seasons with the New Ulm Eagles high school baseball team...Additionally, was also a three-sport athlete in high school with one season playing high school basketball as a small forward and another in football as a tight end/safety...Competed as a pitcher and outfielder for the Eagles of the Big South Conference and led the Eagles to a conference championship as a senior with an 8-1 record on the hill where he allowed 31 hits, 15 runs (eight earned), 17 walks and 60 strikeouts...Owned a 1.10 earned run average as well as a 1.04 WHIP in 47.1 innings of work during senior year...Was named the Eagles team captain as a senior before collecting all-conference honors and being named the most valuable player, a gold glove and New Ulm Sports Journal Player of the Year.
