Biography

2015: Gilyard appeared in 11 games this season and had two starts to his credit.

2014: Redshirted for the Mavericks in 2014.

Personal: A standout third baseman at Buffalo (Minn.) High School, committed to the Mavericks after a junior season in which he was named honorable mention all-conference and all-section. He hit .362 with a .698 slugging percentage for the Bison in 2012. Buffalo also won a Mississippi 8 conference championship his sophomore year when he earned all-league honors while hitting .299 with 19 RBI.
