THE KOEPPEL FILE: A 5-9, 160-lb catcher and outfielder from St. Charles, Minn., joins the Mavericks hailing from St. Charles High School where he played his summer ball with the Rochester Pines. While competing with the Saints, Koeppel was named All-Conference by the Three Rivers Conference as well as to the All-Section Team. During the 2021 campaign, Koeppel batted .393 with eight doubles and a home run. Also a threat on the base paths, Koeppel stole 18 bases throughout the season. Another multi-sport athlete, Koeppel also participated in football where he was honored with an All-District Honorable Mention and was the captain of the St. Charles Saints wrestling team where he was also received an honorable mention for All-Conference a season ago. He is the son of Jason and Holly Koeppel.
