Biography

2013: Played in 23 contests, starting 16, and recording a .292 batting average and .417 slugging percentage with a homerun, three doubles, nine RBI and 12 runs in 48 at-bats...Received the NCAA Division II Elite 89 award at the NCAA DII Baseball Championship for the second season in a row becoming the first player in NCAA baseball history to earn the award multiple times...Named a CoSIDA Third Team Academic All-American, the third in Maverick baseball history...Had a season-high three hits in five at-bats and an RBI double on March 10 vs. St. Joseph's.

2012:   Saw action in 17 games...Recipient of the NCAA Division II Elite 89 award at the College Baseball World Series (presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA’s 89 championships)... Hit .353 on the year...Hit first career home run in 11-1 home league win over Minnesota Crookston April 25.

2011: Redshirted.

2010: Recipient of the Spirit Award with along with teammate Trent Vedders… Started one game, appearing in 12… Owned a .286 average.  

High School: Named all-conference team junior and senior… Three-year starter at catcher and played in 2009’s Lions All-Star Game...Hit .372 senior season with four home runs and 22 RBI...Had three home runs junior season and hit .300...Academic all-state senior season.  

Personal:  Born January 17, 1991...Son of John and Lauren Keller...Mechanical engineering major.
