Stomper's Horns
Stomper's Horns is a new group added to the Maverick Athletic Band organization. This group travels to local high schools to perform with students and help out in any way that we possibly can. Maverick Athletic Bands (Maverick Marching Machine and Pep Bands)
Minnesota State University is proud to announce the return of the Maverick 'Machine' Athletic Bands.
This high-spirited student group generates enthusiasm and excitement at home football, hockey, and basketball events. Performing for thousands of spectators throughout the year, this group provides a unique link between music and athletics.
The Maverick Athletic Bands provide a musical opportunity for all MSU students, and community members, to participate in promoting school spirit and morale. You don't have to be a music major to participate - we welcome students from any area of study. Students can also receive class credit for their participation in the band, drumline, and other related activities.
Membership in the Maverick Athletic Bands brings an opportunity to become more actively involved with university life, and contribute positively to the culture and atmosphere of the university community. Become a part of this group of talented and highly motivated students as we explore the boundless possibilities forging new traditions and becoming leaders in our community.
MSU Machine Drumline
The MSU Machine Drumline has been created as the first competitive collegiate drumline in the state of Minnesota. This drumline and percussion program will develop into one of the strongest in the state and the only competitive unit for which you can receive college credit. The group will compete in DCI's Drumline Battle and the winter percussion circuit sponsored by the Minnesota Percussion Association and Winter Guard International. The Machine Drumline will perform at many events and have fun drumming at a very high level.

MSU Machine Colorguard
We are proud to announce the addition of the MSU Machine Colorguard for our Athletic Band Program. The colorguard will perform alongside the 'Maverick Marching Machine' at home football games along with select basketball games and competitions throughout the state. We are very excited to bring in some of the best colorguard instructors in the state to assist with the building of a new program.
