2022: Played and started in 11 of Minnesota States 13 games… Ranked fourth on the team in tackles with 61… Also had four and a half tackles for loss… Saw a season-high of 10 tackles vs. Colo. Sch. Of Mines… Was named to the All-NSIC Tram of Excellence and the All-NSIC First Team.

2021: Played and started in all 11 games for the Mavericks…Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence…Led the team in tackles with 48…Also posted 5.5 tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks…Notched a season-high eight tackles against Augustana…Tallied at least five tackles in seven games.

2020: No season due to COVID-19...Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team/Team of Excellence.

2019: Played in eight games for the Mavericks…Tallied five tackles.

2018: Redshirted.

High School: A two-sport athlete from Grimes, Iowa, Carpenter competed in both football and baseball at Dallas Center-Grimes High School…Played four seasons as a linebacker…Helped his team two district championships and two playoff appearances…Tallied 98 tackles during his junior season, to go along with two fumble recoveries…Named to the all-district first team as a junior…Finished his senior season with 100 tackles and two interceptions…Claimed All-State First Team honors as a senior as his squad finished the regular season undefeated…Has played three seasons with the baseball team.
