Biography

2012:  Hiit .345 as a senior in helping lead Mavericks to NSIC regular-season title, NSIC tournament title, NCAA DII Central Region title and third place finish at NCAA DII national tournament...Was named NCBWA Honorable Mention All-Central Region, NSIC Second Team All-Conference and was a member of the NCAA DII Central Region All-Tournament Team...Played in 149 games during the course of his Maverick Baseball career and finished with a .330 batting average, 38 doubles (5th on MSU’s career list), six home runs and 108 runs batted in.  As a righthanded pitcher he sported a 14-8 won-loss record with a 3.45 earned run average and  had 148 strike outs in 172 innings pitched.

2011:  Played in 42 games and started 40, eight of which were on the mound...Had a .297 batting average, including 41 hits, 20 RBI and 26 runs scored...Also recorded 10 doubles and five steals...On the mound, started six games and appeared twice in relief...Had a 2-1 mark, has a 3.19 ERA and 29 strike outs...On March 8 went 2-for-4 with a season-best three RBI.

2010: Appeared in 58 games…Posted a .339 average and led team in RBI (56)… Tied for second on team in doubles (19)…  Appeared in 12 games on the mound, starting 11… Owned 6-4 record with a 4.04 ERA… Posted 52 strikeouts in 64.1 innings pitched… Four complete games… Named to  NCAA Central Region All-Tournament Team… Named NSIC Pitcher of the Week after performance against SWMSU on April 3 (CG W, 5 H, 0 ER, 6 K, 0 BB).    

2009: Daktronics Second Team All-Region...Second on the team and first among freshmen in batting average (.379)...Started 38 games and appeared in 42...Scored 30 run and was tied for third on the team in triples (3)...Finished rookie year with 33 RBI...Appeared in two games on the mound, both in relief…Allowed three hits and an earned run in 1.2 innings of work.  

High School: Three-year letter winner in baseball and hockey for the Old Abes...named Conference and District Player of the Year...1st team All-Conference and All-District, 2nd team All-State...Named team pitcher of the year and MVP...Had an ERA of 1.99...Fanned 73 batters in 56 innings...Compiled a record of 9-1 his senior year leading his team to conference and sectional championships with a 22-1 record overall...Ended his high school pitching career with a overall record of 17-1.
