2012: Played in four games...Over the course of his four-year career he played in 31 games and finished with 48 tackles, including six for a loss and four sacks...Also had two pass break-ups and two forced fumbles...Was an Academic All-NSIC selection.

2011: Played in ten games and had 16 tackles, including a season-high four tackles in the Mavericks' win over Minnesota, Crookston (9/17)...Had three tackles for a loss on the year and a forced fumble while breaking up a pass...In his 27-game career as a Maverick he has 46 tackles, including six for a loss and four sacks...Also has two pass break-ups and a forced fumble. 

2010: Played in all 11 games in 2009 earning 10 starts...Had 28 tackles, including 10 that were solo...Also recorded three tackles for a loss and three sacks...Recovered one fumble and had a pass break-up...Tallied a season-high seven tackles in MSU’s loss to Minnesota Duluth (11/14).

2009: Played in six games...Totaled three tackles, all of which came in separate games.

2008: Redshirted.

High School: Three-year starter and letter winner in football for Humboldt...Also a member of the track and basketball squads...Was named First-Team All-District for his efforts on the defensive line as a junior and a senior...Registered 63 tackles as a senior...As a junior helped guide Humboldt to a state title.

Personal: Son of Mike Schachtner and Stacey Hergenreter...Majoring in human biology at Minnesota State with a minor in sports medicine...Born Jan. 3, 1990.
