ROGERS, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team earned its fifth consecutive win over the St. Cloud State Huskies Saturday as the Mavericks claimed the 6-1 win.
With the win, MSU improves to 7-2 on the season, including a 6-0 NSIC record. With the loss, SCSU drops to 3-9, including a 1-5 conference record.
"It was another good win for us today," head coach
Drew Hawthorne said. "We played especially strong and steady in the singles matches. I was impressed by
Elizabeth Dabiza's 6-0, 6-0 win. She played smart, strong tennis and she got the win quickly."

Taina Cordeiro had a great match playing up a spot at #5 singles," Hawthorne said. "I was really happy with her performance and mindset throughout."

Doubles Matches
Minnesota State wraps up its weekend on Sunday as it takes on Bemidji State at the Rogers Tennis Club in Rogers, Minn. The dual is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
"Tomorrow, I am hoping for a stronger start in doubles against Bemidji State," Hawthorne said. "Although we got the doubles point, there's still more we need to do to set the tone of the match early."
