Hailey Hansen (Blaine, Minn.) was named Goaltender of the Week and freshman forward
Zoe Lopez (Plymouth, Minn.) collected her first career Rookie of the Week honor.
The Mavericks opened their season with back-to-back wins over RPI, earning a 3-0 shutout on Friday and a 5-3 victory on Saturday.
Hansen started both games between the pipes, turning aside 48 of 51 shots faced. She finished the weekend with two wins, a .941 save percentage, and a 1.50 goals-against average, including her first shutout of the season.
Lopez had a great performance in collegiate debut, tallying two goals and one assist for a three-point weekend. Her performance included an empty-netter in Friday's win, while also finishing the series with three shots on goal.
Minnesota State returns to action Oct. 3-4 when it hosts Lindenwood at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center.
