LOS ANGELES – Former Minnesota State softball student-athlete Cori Kennedy will appear on NBC's The Voice, an American singing reality competition series that has aired since 2011. This season's premiere is on Monday September 22 at 7 p.m. CT on NBC and Peacock.
Kennedy (West Concord, Minn.) played four seasons for the Mavericks from 2016-19 at catcher and totaled 201 games in Purple and Gold.
Kennedy is one of the contestants on season 28 of The Voice, hoping to impress judges Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, Michael Bublé and Niall Horan. She is known for her storytelling in her original country songs and released singles "Hey Who Shot the Water Tower" and Lawless" in March and has 8,600 monthly listeners on Spotify.
