MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State Athletics, in partnership with its official licensing partner, CLC, are excited to launch the
Vintage MSU line of apparel and hard goods beginning Saturday, Sept. 27.
The mark, which features MSU's athletic logo that was first introduced in 1977, will be available only at the Maverick Store on campus, Scheels and through the Maverick Line Change Collective. The logo has been retired since the early 2000s.
"We're proud to launch our vintage logo mark during Homecoming week as a tribute to the rich history and tradition that shaped our athletic legacy over the years," said Director of Athletics,
Kevin Buisman. "This iconic mark connects generations of student-athletes, alumni, and fans, and now offers a new opportunity to honor the past through specially designed apparel and retail goods. It's more than a brand mark — it's a celebration of where we've been and the pride that carries us forward into The Future State."
UNRL – which is owned by former Minnesota State alum, Michael B. Jordan – will be the sole provider of apparel with the vintage logo while WinCraft, a national leader in promotional goods, will have the rights for hardgoods such as flags, buttons, and other souvenirs. The logo will also be featured on the men's hockey Saturday night home jersey this upcoming season with replica jerseys being produced by Lunch Bucket in partnership with the Maverick Line Change Collective.
Fans will be able to purchase the new gear on Homecoming at the Maverick Store on campus and at Blakeslee Stadium as well as at Scheels. Jerseys through the Line Change Collective will be on sale beginning Oct. 7, at the Puck Drop in City Center event.
