MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State Athletic Department has selected five individuals and one team for the school's Hall of Fame ceremonies which will take place on Friday, September 26 in Taylor Center with a social beginning at 6 p.m., and our induction ceremony to follow at 7 p.m.

This year's class includes:
Chris Reed, a 2014 alumnus who excelled in both football and track & field;
Marina Bugaenco, a 2009 graduate and standout in women's tennis;
Harvey Martin, a 2013 alumnus who made his mark in baseball;
Ashley Baer, who graduated in 2009 after a distinguished career in swimming and diving; and
Roger Meyer a 1963 graduate who competed in both football and track and field.

Joining our student-athletes is
Lori Meyer. Meyer's legacy in collegiate softball is unparalleled. As a Maverick Head Coach for 41 years, Meyer has become the all-time winningest coach in NCAA Division II history. Her exceptional leadership and strategic prowess led Minnesota State to capture the 2017 NCAA Division II National Championship, cementing her status as a titan in the sport. Acknowledged by her peers, Meyer is also a distinguished member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Hall of Fame, an honor that recognizes her significant contributions to softball and her enduring impact on future generations of athletes.

Additionally, the 2014 Maverick football team will be honored for their stellar performance, playing to a 14-1 record en route to an NSIC Championship and a national runner-up finish.

The ceremony will also recognize
Joel Nielsen, inducted in the Builder's Category for his contributions to MSU football and his roles as an athletic administrator and industry consultant.
Greg Vandermause, director at Bethany Lutheran College's production studio, will receive the
Jim Schaffer Service Award for his role in producing all Minnesota State men's and women's hockey games.
