LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Minnesota State volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT for its efforts in the classroom this past year.

The award, which was initiated in the 199-93 academic year honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long 3.30 GPA or higher.

This marks the 18
th time in team history that the Mavericks have received the award. It also marks the 14
th consecutive season they have been recognized. As a team, MSU boasted a 3.65 GPA for the 2024-25 campaign and extended its streak to 28 consecutive terms with at least a 3.40 GPA. Seven volleyball student-athletes held a 4.00 GPA, tied for second-best in program history (eight in Fall 2024).

Minnesota State begins its 2025 season at the Missouri S&T Tournament Sept. 4-6 in Rolla, Missouri. The Mavericks host the Maverick Invite at Taylor Center Sept. 11-13, where MSU will see competition against Chadron State, Lake Superior State, Quincy and Upper Iowa.
