LILBURN, Ga. – The Minnesota State women's basketball team has climbed to No. 8 in the nation in the latest WBCA NCAA Division II Coaches Poll.

MSU earned 406 points this week, surging seven spots from its preseason ranking of No. 15 after an impressive start to the season. The Mavericks are one of just two NSIC programs represented in the top 25, joining Concordia–St. Paul at No. 17.

Minnesota State returns to the court on Friday, Nov. 21, when the Mavericks host Colorado School of Mines. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. inside the Taylor Center, and fans can catch all the action live on the NSIC Network.
