INDIANAPOLIS --- Behind its 8-3 record, the Minnesota State football team has advanced to the NCAA Tournament where it will face the Findlay Oilers in the first round at Donnell Stadium in Findlay, Ohio on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. (CST).
This will be the first meeting between the Mavericks and Oilers.

"What a great accomplishment for our seniors who will be making their fourth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2022."
This marks the 16th time, and fourth straight season, that MSU has advanced to the NCAA Tournament. The Mavericks own an 18-15 all-time record in the NCAA Tournament, which includes a run to the NCAA semifinals last season as the Mavericks bested Augustana, CSU Pueblo and Bemidji State, before falling to Valdosta State.
It also marks the 11th time under head coach
Todd Hoffner that Minnesota State has reached the NCAA Tournament. Hoffner owns a 14-10 record in NCAA Tournament action.
Minnesota State owns an 8-3 record on the season, including a 3-2 road record. Findlay owns a 10-1 record, including a 6-1 home record.
