MANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota State Mavericks (10-9-1, 4-9-1 WCHA) hit the road this weekend for a challenging series against the No. 1-ranked Wisconsin Badgers at LaBahn Arena in Madison, Wis. The puck drops at 5:02 p.m. on Friday and 2:02 p.m. on Saturday.

Jamie Nelson each lit the lamp in a 4-1 victory. Goaltender
Jessie McPherson anchored the defense with a .955 save percentage, while the Mavericks outshot Lindenwood 37-22 to cap a dominant weekend.
Scouting the Badgers:
Wisconsin (19-1-2, 12-0-1 WCHA) comes into the series after splitting a tightly contested weekend with Ohio State. The Badgers cruised to a 6-0 win on Friday but fell in a shootout after a 3-3 tie on Saturday at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
Offensively, Wisconsin is led by Casey O'Brien, who has racked up 12 goals and 34 assists for an impressive 42 points this season. Between the pipes, Ava McNaughton boasts a .953 save percentage and a stingy 1.07 goals-against average.
Historically, Minnesota State has struggled against Wisconsin, holding a 3-107-3 all-time record. Their last meeting, on December 7, 2024, ended in a 5-0 victory for the Badgers.
