MARYVILLE, Mo. --- No. 15 Minnesota State battled Northwest Missouri State to a 0-0 tie Sunday afternoon on the road at Bearcat Pitch.
MSU and NWMSU battled back and forth during the match with both teams having few shots on goal. The Mavericks had seven shots on goal while the Bearcats had eight shots on goal.
Senior, Ashlyn Watt finished the day with three shots on goal while junior Mallie Mathis ended the day with two shots on goal.
"Certainly not the result we wanted but I liked alot of what we did today. Going on the road is always tough and we battled against a really quality team today, but we need to find a way to win these games." Stated head coach Brian Bahl. "We need to figure out how to be better in final 3rd, be more intentional with our possessions there and create better chances and execute."
Minnesota State is back in action next weekend to host No. 23 Concordia St-Paul on Friday at 3 p.m. and Augustana at 1 p.m. on Sunday at The Pitch.
