MARYVILLE, Mo. – Minnesota State tennis fell 4-0 to No. 25 Northwest Missouri State Saturday afternoon in non-conference play at Frank Grube Courts.
 
The Bearcats (8-0) seized the team doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3, then swept singles in straight sets. Sofia Pignataro defeated Daria Podmogilnaia 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3 and Laura Prieto Sieiro lost one game en route to a win over MSU's Elizabeth Felderman 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5. Angela per Moreno downed McKenna DeMarce 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6 and the Mavericks trailed in each of the remaining singles matches with went unfinished.
 
The Mavericks (4-4) have played five of six on their current road swing. The team travels to Winona to play St. Cloud State on Saturday, March 16.
