Jordyn Resetar drove in a run with an RBI-triple, before Peyton Feldman notched an RBI-single. Two more would score on a single by Dickinson, before Armbruster got the final out to end the game 7-5 in favor of the Mavericks.

Fritz led the Mavericks with three hits, while Baxter and Kessler each drove in two runs.

"The offense did a nice job with runners in scoring position, capitalizing on our opportunities," said Minnesota State head coach Lori Meyer. "Armbruster and Oetzmann both had solid outings on the mound. Defensively, we have to play better and clean up some things and work on closing the game out. Fortunately, our errors did not cost us a game today."

Minnesota State continues its road trip on Monday as it takes on Ashland at 12:30 p.m. (CST) and Grand Valley State at 3:00 p.m. (CST) in Winterhaven, Fla.
