MANKATO, Minn.. --- Minnesota State (12-22-0, 6-21-0 WCHA) fell to the University of St. Thomas (9-24-1, 3-23-1 WCHA) by a final of 3-2 Friday afternoon at the Mayo Clinic HSEC.
The Mavericks owned the Tommies' in the shot department through 60 minutes 33-18, however UST took advantage of its opportunities netting goals in each period.

UST would survive the next 23 seconds registering their ninth victory of the season.
"We came out with a ton of energy and jumped on them but unfortunately got two pipes failing to score on important opportunities," stated head coach

The Mavericks are back in action tomorrow at 2 p.m. to rematch the Tommies' from the St. Thomas Ice Arena.Â
