MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State senior
Gabe Hagen has been named to the AP All-American First Team for his efforts on the field this past season.
A tight end from Blooming Prairie, Minn., Hagen played in 13 games for the Mavericks this past season. He caught 45 passes for 541 yards and six touchdowns. Against Sioux Falls he caught eight passes for a career-high 125 yards and two touchdowns.
Hagen's six touchdown catches were tied for the third most by a tight end in NCAA Division II and his 541 receiving yards ranked fourth among tight ends.
Minnesota State finished its season with an 11-4 record as it advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament.
