Alli Altmann earned a gold medal for their efforts on the bench at the 2023 International Ice Hockey Federation Women's World Championships which concluded tonight.
The Americans defeated the host Canadians, 6-3, in the gold medal game. The game marked the 22
nd straight gold medal game for team USA at the World Championships as they have reached the game in every year that the Women's World Championships has been staged. It was also the 21
st time that USA and Canada had played for the gold medal at the championships. The victory was the first for Team USA in the championship game since 2019.
Dickerman, who was an All-American for the Mavericks in goal during her playing career from 2000-2004, served as an assistant coach for head coach John Wroblewski. Altmann, who played for the Mavericks from 2008-12 and serves as a volunteer goaltending coach for Minnesota State, served as Team USA's goaltending coach.
