Auburndale, Fla. --- Minnesota State thumped Wilmington with a final of 14-0 in seven innings improving its overall record to 9-3 on the season.

Jackson Hauge wasted no time getting the Mavericks on the boar driving home Junior
Ryan Wickman who led off the game with a single.
Minnesota State picked up its offensive onslaught in the third inning seeing five players score after sending nine batters to the plate.
After Juniors
Hunter Ranweiler and Wickman lead off the inning with two singles, junior
Mikey Gottschalk singled to right field driving home Ranweiler who was safe beating the catcher tag.
The next batter, junior
Jackson Hauge cleared the bases with his first triple on the year to right field giving the Mavericks a 4-0 lead. Hauge then scored on a passed ball by the catcher to give the Mavericks their fifth tally.
Sophomore
Aidan Byrne kept the inning rolling after working a walk later coming around to score on a junior
Brock Johnson double to left center extending the lead to 6-0.
Later in the Mavericks half of the fifth, Hauge worked a walk and came around on a Junior
Adam Schneider double for MSU's seventh tally on the day. Schnider would also make his way home off a dribbler to the shortstop off the bat of Johnson giving the Mavericks an 8-0 lead.
In the sixth inning, Minnesota state tacked on its final six runs on the day.
After Hauge work a bases-loaded walk to bring in Ranweiler, sophomore
Aidan Byrne knock a single into left field driving home both Gottschalk and Wickman to increase the Mavericks' lead to 11-0
The next batter junior
Brock Johnson worked another bases-loaded walk bringing home Hauge. Freshman
Louis Magers grounded into a 5-3 double play allowing Byrne to score and Johnson to move to second.
Junior
Nick Baker would come into the game game for sophomore
Zach Stroh who then doubled to left field driving home the final run for the Mavericks.
Junior
Taisei Yahiro (1-0) earned his first win in the purple and gold going five innings only surrendering a hit while compiling seven strikeouts.
Rich Albrecht (0-1) got tagged with the loss going five innings surrendering eight runs on eight hits.
The Mavericks are back in action tomorrow to take on California University of Pennsylvania at 5:00 p.m. EST.
