Madison, Wis. --- Minnesota State was blanked by No. 1 Wisconsin for a second straight night 9-0 on Friday night in Madison Wisconsin.
The Badgers jumped on the Mavericks in the opening period on both ends of the ice. Wisconsin scored on the power play, full strength, and shorthanded in the opening period.
The Badgers continued to enforce their will in the second period netting four goals and leaving the Mavericks behind by seven heading into the second intermission. Wisconsin tallied two more early in the third to cap off a nine spot on the scoreboard.
The Badgers finished the night with eight different players registering a multi-point game while collecting 26 points.
"This was a learning experience for the Mavericks," stated Head Coach
John Harrington. "We were able to take some things from this weekend and better ourselves as a team."
The Mavericks are back in action on October 20th as they host No. 6 Minnesota Duluth for its home opener at 3 p.m.
