MOORHEAD, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's swimming and diving team picked up its seventh dual victory of the season as it bested MSU Moorhead 192-62 on the road.
The Mavericks now own a 7-1 record in dual action this season.
The Mavericks won both relay events on the day. The team of sophomore

Megan Schultz, senior
Nicole Beckman and junior
Ella DeFever won the 200 medley relay (1:50.25), while the quartet of sophomore
Maija Carriveau, junior
Brooke Shell, junior
Olivia Hudoba and junior
Elise Mishmash won the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:42.09.
The trio of DeFever, freshman
Ola Gorecki and sophomore
Lauren Fisher each won a pair of individual events. DeFever won the 200 freestyle (1:59.70) and the 50 freestyle (25.28), while Gorecki won the 100 backstroke (1:00.67) and the 200 backstroke (2:09.47). Fisher would win the 500 freestyle event with a time of 5:20.00 and the 200 IM with a time of 2:15.05 as well.
Freshman
Klair Bradley finished first in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:20.50, while freshman
Jane Briese won the 200 butterfly event with a time of 2:28.93. Freshman
Kolby Schendel took first in the 100 freestyle (56.56), while Schultz won the 200 breaststroke event with a time of 2:23.96. Beckman won the 100 butterfly event with a time of 59.69 also.
The Maverick divers competed at St. Cloud State. Sophomore
Aspen Warnygora finished second in the 1-meter diving event for the Mavericks, while sophomore
Sydney Hanson took second in the 3-meter diving event.
Minnesota State continues its season on Wednesday, February 8, as it takes part in the four-day NSIC Championships in Fargo, N.D.
