Mankato, Minn.---The Mavericks came into the weekend 2-0 verse NSIC opponents and looked to keep thing rolling.
BSU matched the Mavericks pressure early resulting in a scoreless first half.
Coming into the second half, both teams had the same physical mindset resulting in three yellow cards throughout the second half. At the 54' mark, BSU's offensive leader Sara Wendt broke the tie giving the Beaver the first tally.
MSU struggled to respond as it was outshot 14-10 in dying minutes. In the final seconds of the match,
Courtney Kovacs shot one down the field landing on the foot of
Jenny Vetter. Vetter ripped the final shot by the fingers of BSU goalkeeper Alyssa Stumbaugh to tie the match with seven seconds remaining.
Vetter now has five goals on the season and the Mavericks travel to Crookston with a 4-1-1 record.
