KEARNEY, Neb. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Nebraska-Kearney on the road Monday afternoon.
With the loss, MSU falls to 11-5 on the season, while UNK improves to 6-2.
UNK picked up the first point of the dual after winning two of the three doubles matches. The duo of junior
Tristen Bryant-Otake and freshman
Avery Stilwell won the No. 1 doubles match against Narindra Ranaivo and Mia Sherikulova by the score of 6-2.
The Lopers then went on to win all six of the singles matches to secure the 7-0 win.
Bryant-Otake went into the third set in the No. 1 singles match against Ranaivo but she fell by the scores of 3-6, 6-3, 6-3. Stilwell went into a third set against Alexis Bernthal in the No. 2 singles match but it was Bernthal that was able to come away with the 6-7, 6-1, 6-3 win.
Minnesota State continues its road trip on Wednesday as it takes on Missouri Western State in St. Joseph, Mo. The dual is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
