Houghton, Mich.  ---  #1 Minnesota State extended its winning streak to 10 games with a 2-1 overtime win at #13/14 Michigan Tech Friday.

The game stood tied at 1-1 at the end of regulation with the host Huskies scoring a goal in the first period and the Mavericks a goal in the second period.

Senior forward Julian Napravnik, stationed at the right side of the net in three-on-three overtime, took a pass from junior center Nathan Smith before putting the puck past Tech netminder Blake Pietela at 1:18 of the extra session for his 17th goal of the year.

Smith, playing in his first game since returning from a three-week stint with the U.S. men's national team at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, scored his 16th goal of the year at 16:21 of the second, tying the score by going high on the short side.

Tech had opened the scoring in the contest at 8:27 of the first on a goal from Tommy Parrottino, who scored on off the rush on a two-on-one opportunity.
