Mankato, Minn. --- #8 Minnesota State received goals from four different players and senior forward
Cade Borchardt had three assists en route to a 4-2 win over Bowling Green Saturday at Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center.
The Mavericks, who now stand 5-3-0 for the season with tonight's result, are 2-0-0 in CCHA games.
The score stood tied 1-1 at the end of the first period of action.

Brendan Furry collected a rebound off of a shot from
Cade Borchardt to score his second goal of the weekend and at the end of two, the score stood 2-2.
Minnesota State scored twice in the third to put the win away.

Adam Eisele got his first goal as a Mavericks, putting the puck into the net at 10:12 on a rebound chance to close out the scoring.
The Mavericks outshot the Falcons 34-11 in the contest and have now won the last 11 meetings with Bowling Green. Senior forward
Cade Borchardt had a three-assist night marking the second time in his MSU career he's accomplished that feat (he also had three assists vs. Lake Superior State Jan. 15, 2021. Morton's goal is his second game-winning tally of the season.
Freshman netminder
Keenan Rancier had nine saves in the game and evens his record at 2-2-0 on the season.
Next up for Minnesota State is a home-and-home CCHA series with in-state foe St. Thomas. The Mavericks square-off in St. Paul Friday before a rematch in Mankato Saturday.
