Mankato, Minn. --- The Minnesota State volleyball team continues with another week of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches with the Mavericks on the road Tuesday  25th at 6:00 p.m. against third-ranked Concordia-St. Paul. Sioux Falls Friday Oct. 28th at 6:00 p.m. then Saturday Oct. 29th vs. fifth-ranked Southwest Minnesota State at 6:00 p.m.

Minnesota State is 6-17 and 5-10 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Mavericks fell last weekend against Winona State 3-1 (25-15, 19-25, 25-16, 25-18) and Upper Iowa 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-20). 

About the Mavericks: Sophomore Sophie Tietz leads the Mavericks with 185 kills. Sophomore Brooke Bolwerk leads on assists with a total of 575. Freshman Ellie Kline is leading the Mavericks with 212 digs. Sophomore Kiya Durant leads the team with 96 blocks. Minnesota State averages 11.8 kills and 15.1 digs per set.  

About the Golden Bears: #3 Concordia-St. Paul stands second in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference following the ninth week of competition. The Golden Bears are 14-1 in conference play and have an overall record of 21-2.

Jasmine Mulvihill is leading Concordia-St. Paul's offense with a total of 334 kills. Ellie Sieling has recorded 268 digs. Teagan Starkey leads the team with 849 assists. 

Head coach of Concordia-St.Paul Brady Starkey is in his 21st season coaching the Golden Bears.

About the Cougars: Sioux Falls stands seventh in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference following the ninth week of competition. The Cougars are 9-6 in conference play and have an overall record of 13-9.

Courtney Holsteen leads Sioux Falls with 233 kills. Elise Gillen has recorded 532 assists. Sadie Voss is leading the Cougars with 331 digs.

Sioux Falls is coached by Dan Mathews who is in his second year as a head coach for the Cougars.

About the Mustangs: #5 Southwest Minnesota State stands fourth in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference following the ninth week of competition. The Mustangs are 12-3 in conference play and have an overall record of 20-3.

Saari Kuehl leads Southwest Minnesota offense with 239 kills. Alisa Bengen has recorded 909 assists. Natalee Rolbiecki is leading the Mustangs with 262 digs.

Southwest Minnesota State is coached by Tyler Boddy who is in his first season as a head coach for the Mustangs.
