Mankato, Minn. --- The Minnesota State volleyball team continues with another week of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches. The Mavericks play at home Thursday at 6:00 p.m. against Winona State and hits the road Saturday to face Upper Iowa at 5:00 p.m.
Minnesota State is 6-15 and 5-8 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Mavericks fell last weekend against nationally ranked teams in the top 10; #6 Minnesota Duluth 3-1 (25-21, 19-25, 25-16, 25-21) and #2 St. Cloud State 3-1 (25-20, 25-23, 14-25, 25-18).Â

Emily Kern had a top performance last weekend with a .381 hitting percentage recording nine kills (one error, 21 attempts), and added 4 blocks against #6 Minnesota Duluth. In the last two games versus two top #7 ranked teams nationally had an average hitting percentage of.357 with 18 kills, 3 errors 21 total attempts, and added 6 blocks. Sophomore
