Marquette, Mich. --- #1-rated Minnesota State received goals from four different players and senior forward
Julian Napravnik had three assists as the Mavericks claimed a 4-1 win over Northern Michigan in Marquette Saturday.
The win, which comes after the Mavericks saw a nine-game winning streak end Friday with a 4-2 loss to the Wildcats, gives Minnesota State a 21-5-0 record on the season. The Maverick stand atop the Central Collegiate Hockey Association standings with a 15-3-0 league mark.

Julian Napravnik and junior
Cade Borchardt. MSU's second goal came on the power play at 8:28 on a tic-tac-toe sequence that saw Borchardt score after passes from junior center
Nathan Smith and Napravnik. Near the end of the first period (18:26), Napravnik got his third assist of the night when he set up junior forward
Ryan Sandelin, who was stationed at the left side of the net, for his 14
th goal of the season.
Following a scoreless second period, Northern Michigan tallied a power play goal at 6:50 of the third stanza after
Alex Frye capitalized on a power play rebound opportunity to make it a 3-1 game. Junior forward
Brendan Furry closed out the scoring in the contest with a nifty forehand-backhand move at 9:59 in making the final score 4-1.
Senior netminder
Dryden McKay, who was credited with 34 saves in the game, now stands 21-4-0 on the year.
Next action for Minnesota State is a home-and-home CCHA series with St. Thomas. The Mavericks and the Tommies clash in Mendota Heights Thursday before the Hockey Day Minnesota matchup at Blakeslee Stadium on Minnesota State's campus Saturday.
