MANKATO, Minn. --- The 2021 spring schedule for the Minnesota State football team will feature five scrimmages and one official game at Northern State.
In its most recent competition, MSU finished the 2019 season with a 14-1 record as it advanced to the NCAA Championship game for the second time in program history.
Access to home MSU outdoor athletic events will follow all campus COVID protocols and will also rely on guidance provided by the Minnesota Department of Health and those protocols applicable at the time will be announced the week of the event.
Minnesota State's first scrimmage will be on the road at Morningside on Saturday, March 20 at Elwood Olsen Stadium. The Mavericks will then host three straight scrimmages at the Blakeslee Stadium practice fields beggining on Saturday, March 27 against Gustavus Adolphus at 12:00 p.m. MSU will then host Grand View on April 3 at 1:00 p.m., before taking on Southwest Minnesota State on April 10 at 1:00 p.m.
The Mavericks will then take on Minnesota Duluth on Saturday, April 24 at Woodbury High School in Woodbury, Minn., at 3:00 p.m. Minnesota State wraps its spring season with an official game against Northern State on May 1 in Aberdeen, S.D., with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m.
