WINONA, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team fell to Saint Mary's Wednesday afternoon by the score of 8-1 in Winona, Minn.
MSU now owns an overall record of 1-6, while SMU improves to 2-1.
SMU won all three of the doubles matches to jump out to a 3-0 lead. Sophomore

Dee Dokken put forth the best effort in the No. 2 doubles match but they fell to Kailee Johnson and Maggie Frye by the score of 8-6.
Saint Mary's then went on to win five of the six singles matches in straight sets to claim the 8-1 win. Sophomore
Lauren Goth claimed the lone singles victory for the Mavericks as she bested Johnson 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 3 singles match.
Minnesota State continues its season on Friday in Sartell, Minn., as it takes on Saint Benedict. The dual is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
