NORTHFIELD, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team fell to the Carleton College Knights Saturday afternoon by the score of 7-2.
With the loss, the Mavericks drop to 3-2 in dual action this season.
Minnesota State won one of the three doubles matches to start the dual. The duo of junior
Tristen Bryant-Otake and freshman
Avery Stilwell bested Mary Frances Hose and Mariam Nechiporuk by the score on 8-4 in the No. 1 doubles match.
In singles competition, freshman
Hana Minisy recorded the lone win for the Mavericks as she bested Lingyu Wei 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 4 singles match. Bryant-Otake took Hose into the deciding third set of the No. 1 singles match but she fell by the scores of 6-3, 2-6, 5-10.
Minnesota State will wrap up its fall schedule on Sunday as it takes on Grand View at 1:00 p.m., and Iowa Central CC at 4:00 p.m. Both duals will take place in Des Moines, Iowa.
