MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State head football coach
Todd Hoffner has announced that 25 student-athletes will join the Maverick football team this fall.
All signings are contingent upon admission to MSU and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
This year's recruiting class features 25 student-athletes from five different states including Minnesota (11), Iowa (6), Illinois (4), Wisconsin (3) and South Dakota (1).

"Please join me in welcoming our 2020 signing class to the Maverick football family," Hoffner said. "As the head football coach at Minnesota State, I could not be more happy to unveil a talent-laden group of student-athletes. The process of getting these young men to the finish line can be attributed to all the hard work by the assistant coaches, players and support staff. The common thread amongst this group is the size, speed, athleticism and talent. "
"Our goal is to attract as many gifted and talented football players who have the potential play at a higher level," Hoffner added. "Because of the ability to work out and test our prospects we have a clear understanding of their physical talents, know their projected position and receptiveness to coaching. There will be no surprises when these young men hit the ground running during fall camp."
"Our five-state footprint is crucial to providing our fan base a product they can support," Hoffner said. "With the greatest natural grass field and picture perfect sight lines in the business we are proud to call Blakeslee Stadium our home. We look forward to representing the MavNation with pride on the gridiron this fall."

Minnesota State finished its 2019 season with a 14-1 record as it advanced to the NCAA Championship game for the second time in program history.
