MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's basketball team (17-10) will travel to Sioux Falls, S.D., for the second round of the NSIC Basketball Tournament at the Sanford Pentagon. The Mavericks will take on the University of Mary Sunday, March 1, with tip-off scheduled for 2:30 p.m., with the winner advancing to the conference tournament semi-finals.

Scouting The University of Mary: U-Mary is located in Bismarck, N.D., and are currently 22-10 (15-7 NSIC) on the season. The Marauders are members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). U-Mary is led by head coach Rick Neumann who is in his seventh season as the leader of the program.
As a team this season, the Marauders net 74.4 points per game in comparison to their opponents' 65.8. U-Mary also snatches 36.0 rebounds and dishes out 16.4 assists per contest.
The Marauders are led by senior forward Cassie Askvig who averages 20.9 points per game to go along with 7.0 rebounds per game. Junior guard Lauren Rotunda is the leading rebounder for U-Mary, averaging 7.7 rebounds per game and 13.8 points per game.
Wednesday's game will mark the 16th all-time meeting between these two programs, the most recent of which was an 70-59 win for the Mavericks earlier this season.
