DULUTH, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to Minnesota Duluth on the road Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Mavericks drop to 1-3 on the season, including a 0-3 NSIC record. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 4-1, including a 2-1 conference record.
The Bulldogs earned the dual's first point as they took two of the three doubles matches. Senior

Tyanna Washa bested Natalie Cahill and Sophie Lynch 6-4 in the No. 1 doubles match, but UMD was able to take the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches by the score of 6-4 each.
Ryan later claimed MSU's only point in the dual as she defeated Megan Anderson 7-5, 5-7, 1-0 (6-3) in the No. 1 singles match. Freshman
Dee Dokken fell to Cahill 6-3, 6-4 on the No. 2 singles match, while Washa fell to Lynch 7-6, 6-4 in the No. 3 singles match.
Minnesota State wraps up its weekend on Sunday as it takes on the St. Cloud State Huskies in Duluth, Minn. The dual is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
