MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State junior Amber Kral has received CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-District honors for her efforts on the field and in the classroom this past season.

A native of Wellman, Iowa, Kral is the first member of the MSU softball team to receive CoSIDA Academic All-District honors since junior Carly Esselman did so in 2018. Kral will now move on to the Academic All-American ballot. She boasts a 4.00 GPA in communication disorders. 

Kral finished her junior season batting .362 with 16 extra base hits, including a team-best 12 doubles. She also finished second on the team in runs batted in with 29 and third on the team in hits with 55. Kral tallied at least two hits in 14 games this past season, including a season-best four hits against St. Cloud State.

Minnesota State finished its 2019 season with a 37-19 record.
