SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team finished its road trip with a 7-0 loss to Sioux Falls Sunday morning.
With the loss, MSU drops to 5-15 on the season, including a 3-7 NSIC record. With the win, USF improves to 7-8, including a 6-5 conference record.
The Cougars began the dual winning all three of the doubles matches to secure the first point. The team of sophomores
Camila Ojeda and
Tyanna Washa nearly won the No. 2 doubles match, but they fell to Megan Quandt and Lexi Miller 7-6 (7-2).
USF then went on to win all six of the singles matches, including five in straight sets, to secure the 7-0 win. Junior
Monika Ryan took the No. 2 singles match into a deciding third set but her opponent Quandt was able to claim the 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 1-0 (10-7) win.
