After a MSU strikeout, senior center fielder Tyler Berg singled through the left side to score Elliott and Denzer.

Minnesota State scored its ninth run of the game in the top of the fourth inning as Berg lifted a sacrifice fly to left field, with the bases loaded, that brought in Altermatt from third base.
