MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's basketball team (9-11, 6-10 NSIC) will take to the road to face off with Minnesota Crookston Friday, at 5:30 p.m., before taking on Bemidji State Saturday, at 3:30 p.m.
 
Mavericks at a Glance: Minnesota State (9-11, 6-10 NSIC), enters the week after defeating #24 MSU Moorhead 76-70 Friday night at Taylor Center, behind a career high 24-points from Taylor Drost.  Saturday, the Mavericks defeated the Northern State Wolves 54-40, which is the fewest points Minnesota State has allowed in a game since it held UMD to 29 points Jan. 22, 2011.

Impact Mavericks: Junior forward Taylor Drost is the leading scorer for the Mavericks, averaging 12.7 points per game, including a career best 24-point outing against the conference leading MSU Moorhead Dragons.  Senior guard Monica Muth is the second leading scorer on the team averaging 10.3 points per game.  Sophomore forward Brooke Tonsfeldt is averaging the most rebounds with 7.0 per game and also is averaging 1.8 steals per game.

Freshman Fire: Several freshmen are making an early impact for the Mavericks this season. Center Kristi Fett is averaging 5.2 points per game while also averaging 4.5 rebounds a game and leading the team with 15 blocks. Guard Rylee Menster is averaging 5.4 points per game while shooting 45.2% from the floor.

Stat Pack: As a team Minnesota State is averaging 73.6 points per game in comparison to its opponents' 70.2. Additionally, the Mavericks average 43.2 rebounds per game and dish out 13.8 assists per game and steal the ball 8.7 times per game.  

Scouting Minnesota Crookston:  Minnesota Crookston is located in Crookston, Minn., and is currently 10-12 (5-11 NSIC)  on the season. The Golden Eagles are members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Minnesota Crookston is led by head coach Mike Roysland who is in his 13th season with the program.
 
As a team this season, the Golden Eagles net 67.5 points per game in comparison to its opponents' 70.8. Minnesota Crookston also snatches 34.9 rebounds and dishes out 11.0 assists per contest. 

The Golden Eagles are led by senior forward Isieoma Odor who is averaging 18.3 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.  Senior guard Caitlin Michaelis is the second leading scorer for the team averaging 11.1 points per game.

Saturday's game will mark the 23rd all-time meeting between these two programs, the most recent of which was a a 64-54 win for the Mavericks last season.  

Scouting Bemidji State:  Bemidji State is located in Bemidji, Minn., and is currently 5-15 (3-13 NSIC) on the season. The Beavers are members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).  Bemidji  State is led by head coach Chelsea DeVille who is in her 4th season as the leader of the program.  

As a team this season, the Beavers net 59.5 points per game in comparison to its opponents' 69.8. Bemidji State also snatches 32.0 rebounds and dishes out 11.1 assists per contest. 

The Beavers are led by sophomore center Taylor Bray who averages 9.5 points per game and also leads the team with 4.9 rebounds per game.  Sophomore guard Brooklyn Bachmann is the second leading scorer for Northern State, averaging 9.5 points per game.  

Saturday's game will mark the 44th all-time meeting between these two programs, the most recent of which was an 65-33 win for the Mavericks last season.  

Looking Ahead: Minnesota State will return home for its final regular season home weekend when it hosts Augustana Friday at 5:30 p.m., before facing off with Wayne State Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
