MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State football team has claimed the No. 1 ranking in the D2Football.com poll for the second time this season.
MSU, which was ranked #1 in the D2Football.com preseason poll, held the top spot in the rankings after defeating Southwest Minnesota State 49-13 last week at Blakeslee Stadium.
The Mavericks are one of four NSIC teams in the top-25. Winona State improved to 14th in the poll, while Sioux Falls jumped up two spots to 18th. Minnesota Duluth entered the poll with the 23rd ranking this week.
Minnesota State continues its season on the road this Saturday as it takes on the Augustana Vikings in Sioux Falls, S.D. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
