MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State volleyball team will travel Tuesday Oct. 9th, to take on #4 ranked Concordia-St. Paul, before traveling to Crookston, Minn., Friday to take on the Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m., and wrap up the weekend in Bemidji, Minn., Saturday at 1:00 p.m., where it faces off against the Beavers.  

Mavericks at a Glance: The Mavericks enter the week with a 13-6 (6-5 NSIC) overall record after sweeping Minot State and the University of Mary last weekend.

Impact Mavericks: Morgan Olson leads the Mavericks with a team best 312 kills and a .403 attacking percentage.  Mara Quam has compiled 354 digs, and Micayla Porter leads the teams in assists with 461.

By the Numbers: As a team this season, Minnesota State has posted 13.6 kills per set in comparison to its opponents 11.7.  Additionally, the Mavericks add 13.1 assists per set and 14.2 digs per set.  

Young Talent: The freshman class has contributed 176 digs, 375 assists, 95 kills and 43 blocks this season. Freshman Lauren Lowry is second on the team with 367 assists and Dana Schindler is fourth on the team with 87 kills.

Scouting Concordia-St. Paul:  Concordia-St. Paul is located in St. Paul, Minn., and is a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).  The Golden Bears are 16-4 (10-1 NSIC) so far this season and are led by sixteenth year head coach Brady Starkey.  

As a team this season, Concordia-St Paul posts 15.2 kills per set while their opponents average 11.1 The Golden Bears also total 14.1 assists per set and 16.8 digs per set. 

Senior Brooklyn Lewis the lead attacker for the Golden Bears with 285 kills on the season and a .362 attacking percentage.  Senior Elizabeth Mohr is the primary setter for Concordia-St. Paul and has 916 assists on the season.  

Scouting Minnesota Crookston: Minnesota Crookston is located in Crookston, Minn., and is a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).  The Golden Eagles are 3-16 (1-10 NSIC) so far this season. Minnesota Crookston is led by second year head coach Sarah Rauen.   

As a team this season, the Golden Eagles total 9.2 kills in comparison to its opponents' 13.4. Additionally, Minnesota Crookston posts 8.6 assists per set and 16.1 digs per set. 

Sophomore Deaira Gresham is the leading attacker for the Golden Eagles with 149 kills on the season.  Sophomore Sydney Kruisselbrink is the primary setter for Crookston and leads the team with 450 assists.

Scouting Bemidji State: Bemidji State is located in Bemidji, Minn., and is a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).  The Beavers are 5-14 (2-9 NSIC) so far this season. Bemidji State is led by second year head coach Kevin Ulmer.

As a team this season, the Beavers total 10.7 kills in comparison to its opponents' 12.8. Additionally, Bemidji State posts 9.9 assists per set and 14.2 digs per set. 

Sophomore Anna Averkamp is the leading attacker for the Beavers with 164 kills on the season. Freshman Mary Campbell is the primary setter for Bemidji State and leads the team with 330 assists.

Looking Ahead: The Mavericks will return home next weekend for a match with Minnesota Duluth Friday, Oct. 19th, at 6:00 p.m., before hosting St. Cloud State Saturday, Oct. 20th, at 2:00 p.m.
